After years of waiting on the nhs waiting lists for myself and my son, we decided it was best for his mental health and well-being to bite the bullet and go private. I am a nurse and I was dubious about getting a private assessment as had heard that some schools, gp surgeries etc won’t accept private diagnosis… that’s incorrect!! The adhd treatment centre use and follow the exact protocols and procedures as nhs. The only difference being you don’t have to wait a lifetime and it’s not free. It’s like going to a private dentist… you’re just paying for the privilege of actually being seen!
From the initial email process of requesting an assessment to actually having his assessment was 2 weeks! 2 weeks!!!!!!!
Then after a very intensive assessment with Tracy French (fabulous human!) we started meditation. Our adhd nurse practitioner, Tracy, has kept in contact and asked for regular updates, weights and bps etc to find the right medication for us. She has been such a great support. My only issue is that I waited so long as it was “too expensive”… hindsight, it’s not that expensive at all! Worth every penny and since being assessed and on the correct treatment path, I’ve spent far less money at 2am while doom Scrolling TikTok shop 😝. If you have any hesitations…. I hope this eases them and you get off google and ask for your assessment asap! Tracy was able to diagnose, treat and support me and turn my life around within six months where other services had failed for over 15 years. I had my assessment with Tracy today and the difference from from the NHS was outstanding, no more being ignored and given countless medicines with no effect. I talked with Tracy for hours and it’s justcclear this is the right choice. A woman who just understand ADHD and is actually passionate about helping and getting the right treatment for people. I had my assessment and diagnosis two weeks ago. I am so grateful to get someone who listens takes me seriously, understands and helps.. From booking, to assessment and aftercare, there is consistent understanding and communication. Tracy really gets to know you and supports you and your family in every step of the process. The aftercare is outstanding, making you feel very looked after, on the right path and cared for.

Tracey has been outstanding from initial screening through to assessment, formal diagnosis on the 15th of May this year and follow up treatment.

Extremely caring and thoughtful towards our daughter. She has a wealth of experience with ADHD.
Gave us lots of valuable information about the condition ie links and books to read.

The prescribing of medication for our daughter has really helped.  It has made a difference to her thought processing and focussing on her current A level studies.
